View approved original text

This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality in patients aged 55 and older who are at high risk for cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and transient ischemic attacks. It can be safely administered to patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Thus, this medication plays an important role not only in hypertension treatment but also in preventing high-risk cardiovascular diseases, improving and protecting the patient’s cardiovascular health.
