Initially, it can be used alone or in combination with dopamine agonists as an adjunct therapy to alleviate symptoms. Additionally, it is used as an adjunct for patients receiving levodopa therapy who experience motor fluctuations (periods when the drug effect diminishes), helping to control symptoms. This contributes to improving the patient's motor function and enhancing quality of life.
