Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals with allergies to this medication or any of its ingredients, or with a history of allergies. It is also not safe to administer to patients with peptic ulcers, severe heart diseases, or severe liver or kidney dysfunction. Patients who have had allergic reactions to similar medications in the past, as well as pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, should also avoid this medication. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with peptic ulcers, cardiovascular diseases, liver or kidney problems, bronchial asthma, or in those taking psychiatric medications. These patients need to take care because the safety and efficacy of this medication have not been fully established. When taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, dry mouth, nausea, diarrhea, or symptoms such as facial swelling, generalized edema, and weakness may occur. Additionally, decreased white blood cell counts, liver function abnormalities, itching, headaches, upper respiratory infections, and blurred vision have also been reported. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers should be careful, as symptoms such as heartburn or indigestion may worsen with this medication. Those with fluid retention or heart failure should be closely monitored as swelling may worsen. Individuals who consume alcohol frequently may have an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding while taking this medication, so caution is needed. Additionally, this medication has not been used in combination with other anti-inflammatory drugs like corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid injections, COX-2 inhibitors, sulfonamides, and aspirin, so caution is required when combining. If any signs of cardiovascular abnormalities, gastrointestinal symptoms, or liver or kidney function abnormalities appear during treatment, the patient must inform their healthcare provider immediately and undergo examinations. Regular blood tests, liver and kidney function tests, and ECGs should be conducted, and appropriate actions should be taken if abnormalities are found. This medication may cause serious allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, so if symptoms occur, immediate emergency treatment is necessary. This medication cannot replace corticosteroids or be used to treat corticosteroid deficiency. Caution is needed as inflammation symptoms may be masked, delaying the diagnosis of infectious complications. If dizziness or drowsiness occurs during treatment, the patient should avoid driving or operating machinery. The ingredients of this medication, particularly Angelica and Ligusticum, may cause symptoms such as loss of appetite, gastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea in individuals with sensitive stomachs, so consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before use. Rashes may occur due to the Gastrodia ingredient, so if symptoms develop, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. There is currently no research on drug interactions between this medication and specific other drugs, so caution is needed during concomitant use. There are no clinical data on administering this medication to pregnant women or women of childbearing age who do not use contraception, so it is advisable to avoid its use. Women who are breastfeeding should discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medication as it may be excreted in breast milk. Safety and efficacy have not been established in neonates, infants, children, or adolescents, so its use in these age groups is not recommended. Elderly individuals have a higher risk of adverse reactions, so their condition should be carefully monitored, and the medication should be administered cautiously. There are no reported cases of overdose; however, if an overdose is suspected, immediate diagnosis and treatment should be sought. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers to avoid quality issues.
