It helps improve painful muscle spasms accompanying symptoms such as cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain. This drug effectively comfort patients' movements and relieve pain. Therefore, it is used to reduce such muscle pain and discomfort in the spine and joints.

How to take

Adult dose

This drug is in sustained-release tablet form and should be taken whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing. Adults should take 1 tablet (75mg of eperisone hydrochloride) twice daily after meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. First, patients who have had allergic reactions to this drug or those with myasthenia gravis should not take this medication. Also, patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug and those with impaired liver function should be more cautious when using this drug as liver function may deteriorate. This drug can rarely cause serious allergic reactions. If symptoms such as redness, itching, hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing appear, stop taking the drug immediately and consult a healthcare professional. In particular, this medication may cause drowsiness, weakness, or staggering, so caution is needed when driving or operating dangerous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a physician before taking this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid taking this drug or discontinue nursing while taking it, if possible. Safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution is necessary when using it in pediatric patients.
