Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or in patients with severe myasthenia gravis. It should be administered with caution to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug or those with liver dysfunction, as liver function may deteriorate. During treatment with this medication, allergic reactions such as redness, itching, hives, swelling, and difficulty breathing may rarely occur. If such symptoms occur, drug administration should be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment should be received. Serious skin reactions such as Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome can occur, so symptoms like fever, erythema, blistering, itching, conjunctival injection, and stomatitis should be closely monitored, and drug use should be stopped if these symptoms appear. Various side effects such as liver or kidney dysfunction, blood disorders, neuropsychiatric symptoms, gastrointestinal symptoms, and urinary symptoms have been reported, so if unusual symptoms occur, consult a healthcare professional. In clinical trials, dizziness was the most commonly reported side effect. Other side effects such as headache, drowsiness, dyspepsia, and diarrhea have also been reported. During the use of this medication, symptoms like weakness, staggering, and drowsiness may occur; if these symptoms appear, the dose should be reduced or the medication should be discontinued. Patients should avoid driving a vehicle or operating dangerous machinery due to drowsiness or decreased concentration. This medication may cause visual disturbances when taken with similar drugs, so caution is needed if combined. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of taking this medication. Nursing mothers should avoid taking it if possible, and if it is necessary, they should discontinue breastfeeding. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established in pediatric patients, so it should be used cautiously in children. As elderly patients may have diminished physical function, attention is required when adjusting the dosage.
