This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy using Amlodipine or Valsartan, helping to effectively lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time daily (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 have not been established, so use of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It is not recommended for individuals allergic to the active ingredients or similar compounds, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, individuals with severe kidney or liver disease, and certain cardiac patients. Patients with sodium or fluid deficiency should stabilize their condition before administration, and blood pressure should be closely monitored during treatment. Immediate action should be taken if hypotension occurs. Patients with high potassium levels or kidney dysfunction should frequently check their potassium levels and exercise caution. This drug can rare cause side effects such as angioedema, and if symptoms like swelling of the face or neck or difficulty breathing occur, administration should be stopped immediately. Patients with heart failure or post-myocardial infarction should monitor kidney function and blood pressure changes closely when taking this medication, and caution is needed in patients with acute myocardial infarction. When taking this medication, there may be interactions with other antihypertensives, certain diuretics, and potassium supplements, so consultation with healthcare professionals is essential. Dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and breastfeeding women are also advised to avoid it. Use in children under 18 is not recommended as safety and efficacy have not been clearly established. Overdose may cause severe hypotension or heart issues, so the dosage must be strictly followed, and immediate medical attention is required if abnormal symptoms occur.
