Precautions

This medication contains vitamin D, so when used in conjunction with vitamin D fortified foods or other vitamin D products, it is important to check the total vitamin D intake. Regularly monitor calcium levels in blood and urine, and discontinue use if calcium levels become too high. In cases of high calcium intake, particularly careful observation of blood and urinary calcium levels is necessary. This medication should not be used by individuals with allergies to its ingredients, or by those with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium stones, or kidney problems. Administration should also be avoided in individuals who are bedridden or have specific conditions. During use, various side effects such as headache, fatigue, muscle pain, indigestion, dehydration, hypertension, and kidney issues may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported immediately. It is important to regularly check blood vitamin D levels to maintain an appropriate dosage. Particularly, individuals with reduced kidney function, elderly patients, or those taking specific medications should frequently undergo kidney function tests. As interactions with other medications may occur, it is essential to disclose any currently taken medications as some may reduce the efficacy of this medication or increase side effects. Women in the early stages of pregnancy or breastfeeding should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication, and consult a physician if necessary. In the case of overdose, cease use immediately and reduce calcium intake, and if necessary, seek appropriate treatment at a hospital. This medication should not be mixed with other medicines and should be taken orally only; when storing, keep it in an area protected from light and in a cool place.
