Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension with the combined use of amlodipine and valsartan

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

If blood pressure control is difficult with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan due to essential hypertension, additional treatment may be necessary. These medications help stabilize blood pressure by dilating blood vessels or lowering blood pressure. Effective blood pressure control is crucial to reduce the risk of complications such as heart disease and stroke. Therefore, in cases where blood pressure management is challenging, combination therapy is used to improve health.
