Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medicine is 1 tablet (0.5mg) once daily. Swallow this medicine whole without chewing or splitting it. This medicine may be taken with or without food. No dose adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment or elderly patients. Since there are no data on administration of this medicine to patients with hepatic impairment, the recommended dose in these patients has not been established.

This medication should not be exposed to women, especially those who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It can be absorbed through the skin, so women should take special care when handling this medication and must not touch broken or crushed tablets. Children should also be kept from exposure to this medication, and it should particularly not be used in children under 18 years of age. This medication should not be administered to patients with certain genetic disorders, such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption. Adult men planning to conceive should use this medication cautiously under medical supervision as it may affect reproductive capacity. This medication may not be appropriate for patients with significant post-void residual urine volume or severe urinary flow reduction, and careful observation should be made for urinary retention. For patients with impaired liver function, the metabolic process of this medication is unclear, so caution should be exercised. Co-administration with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase blood levels of this medication, so caution is needed when taken with such drugs. Possible sexual side effects like erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, and ejaculation disorders may occur during treatment; in some patients, these symptoms may persist. Prolonged use may result in breast disorders, and any abnormal symptoms in the breast should be promptly discussed with a healthcare professional. This medication reduces serum PSA levels, which may affect prostate cancer diagnosis, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers about its use during PSA testing. Blood donation is prohibited while taking this medication, and one must wait at least 6 months after the last dose before donating blood. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so appropriate supportive treatment should be obtained if symptoms are suspected. Keep out of the reach of children and store in the original container to avoid misuse or quality degradation. The effects on driving or operating machinery are not established; caution is warranted if adverse reactions occur. Pregnant and nursing women should not use this medication, particularly pregnant women, as it may have serious effects on male fetuses. This medication has not been reported to have major interactions with various drugs, but caution is required when used with specific medications.
