For example, patients with a history of allergies to this drug or similar drugs, nursing women, patients with severe liver dysfunction, severe aortic stenosis, and those in shock should not take this medicine. In addition, patients with severe hypotension, those requiring dialysis due to renal failure, elderly patients, and women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication with caution. Rarely, various adverse reactions have been reported, including hypotension, vasculitis, neurological symptoms, erectile dysfunction, gynecomastia, digestive issues, weight changes, decreased blood cell counts, insomnia, and skin rash. Patients with heart failure or impaired liver function should be especially cautious while using this medication, as it may persist in the body, prolonging the blood pressure-lowering effects, so careful monitoring should continue even after discontinuation. Additionally, caution is needed when used in conjunction with certain antibiotics or immunosuppressants, and consultation with healthcare providers is recommended when using it with other blood pressure medications. Women who are pregnant or nursing are advised to consider alternative safe medications, as the safety of this drug has not been established, and it is recommended to discontinue breastfeeding when taking this medication. For children aged 6 and older, this medication is effective in lowering blood pressure, but its efficacy has not been confirmed in children under 6 years of age. In case of overdose, severe hypotension and tachycardia may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention, as this medication is not removed by hemodialysis and other treatment methods will be required.
