View approved original text

This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensations caused by chronic arterial occlusion, such as Buerger's disease, obstructive atherosclerosis, or diabetic peripheral vascular disease. It is also effective in preventing recurrence after the onset of cerebral infarction, except for cardiogenic embolism. This drug helps alleviate symptoms by improving blood circulation and preventing recurrence of the condition, thus reducing discomfort caused by the associated disease and positively affecting symptom improvement.

How to take

Adult dose

The adult dosage is 200mg taken orally once daily. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach away from meals.

Precautions

This medication may increase the heart rate and induce angina symptoms such as chest pain, so careful observation of angina symptoms is required. This drug should not be administered to patients at high risk of bleeding or with bleeding disorders, recent hemorrhagic stroke, or those who have recently undergone surgery. It is also contraindicated in patients with congestive heart failure or those who have experienced hypersensitivity to this medication, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women and women who may become pregnant. Patients taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, thrombolytics, etc., should use this medication cautiously due to the potential increased risk of bleeding. Women who are menstruating also have an increased risk of bleeding and should be cautious. Careful use is required in patients with severe renal failure or liver failure, diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension, or specific cardiac conditions. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, diarrhea, palpitations, joint pain, chest discomfort, and, rarely, serious side effects including severe bleeding, blood dyscrasias, pneumonia, and heart failure. Patients should be advised to report any signs of bleeding or symptoms of blood disorders promptly, and blood pressure and heart condition should be monitored regularly. This drug may cause dizziness, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Taking this medication with food may increase blood concentration and side effects, so it is best taken on an empty stomach, especially avoiding intake after high-fat meals. Since this drug is metabolized in the liver, its blood concentration may change when used in combination with certain drugs, necessitating caution, and it should not be taken with grapefruit juice. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication, and women of childbearing potential must verify their status before administration. Safety for children or neonates has not been established, so usage should be avoided. Elderly patients may require dose adjustments due to decreased physiological function. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, hypotension, tachycardia, and arrhythmias may occur, requiring immediate medical treatment.
