How to apply

Adult use

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once or twice daily, adjusting according to symptoms. Since this medication is a potent corticosteroid, do not use continuously for more than 2 weeks or exceed 50g (50mL of the liquid form) in one week.

Precautions

This medication is a potent topical steroid ointment. It should not be used if there are skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or parasites, as it may worsen the symptoms. People who are allergic to this medication or have experienced hypersensitivity reactions should not use it. Avoid using it on areas with ear perforations or severe skin damage. It is not safe to use this medication on infants, especially those under 24 months old. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication cautiously, using the least amount and for the shortest possible duration. This medication can cause various side effects on the skin, including infections, irritation, rashes, itching, and thinning of the skin. Long-term use or use over large areas can affect the whole body, leading to hormonal dysfunction or side effects; caution is required. When using near the eyes, increases in intraocular pressure or cataracts may occur, so care must be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. When using, appropriate antibacterial treatment should be done first if there is dermatitis accompanied by infection, and if symptoms worsen or do not improve, usage should be stopped. Monitor skin condition frequently during use, and consult a doctor immediately if side effects are suspected. Strictly adhere to the recommended dosage and period of use, avoiding arbitrary long-term or extensive applications. Particularly, children and the elderly are at higher risk for side effects, so further caution is necessary. In case of overuse, symptoms of hormone excess may appear, therefore doses should be gradually reduced as directed by a physician. This medication should not be applied directly to the eyes and should be used only for therapeutic purposes. After use, wash hands thoroughly and store out of reach of children. Finally, prolonged or excessive use may worsen skin conditions, so appropriate use following a doctor’s instructions is necessary.
