This medication is used to improve symptoms of chronic arterial occlusion, such as ulcers or pain from Burger's disease, occlusive arterial sclerosis, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease, as well as ischemic symptoms like cold sensations. It also has the effect of preventing recurrence after the onset of cerebral infarction, especially excluding cardiogenic cerebral embolism. This medication can help alleviate symptoms related to blood circulation difficulties and maintain cerebrovascular health.

Precautions

This medication can increase heart rate and may induce angina symptoms, so it is important to carefully monitor for angina symptoms such as chest pain. It should not be administered to patients at risk of bleeding, or those who have recently experienced hemorrhagic stroke, peptic ulcers, or undergone surgery. It should also be avoided in patients with congestive heart failure, those allergic to this medication, and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs, menstruating women, patients with severe renal or liver failure, and diabetics should use it with caution. Side effects may include headache, diarrhea, palpitations, joint pain, and chest discomfort; in severe cases, symptoms like bleeding, blood abnormalities, interstitial pneumonia, and cardiac issues can occur, so consult a healthcare professional immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise. In patients with cerebral infarction, therapy should begin after symptoms stabilize, blood pressure should be well controlled, and administration should be adjusted if excessive heart rate increases occur. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery due to the risk of dizziness, and it is recommended to take this medication on an empty stomach since food may increase the drug concentration. As this medication is metabolized in the liver, it can alter blood levels when taken with certain medications, and a discussion with a physician or pharmacist is necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medication, and dosage adjustments may be needed for children and the elderly based on physiological function. In the case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, hypotension, and tachycardia may occur, so immediate medical attention is required.
