This medication is used to improve ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by chronic arterial occlusive disease, Buerger's disease, obstructive arteriosclerosis, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease. It also helps to prevent the recurrence of cerebral infarction after its onset, except for cardiogenic cerebral embolism. Therefore, this medication plays an important role in improving blood circulation and maintaining cerebral vascular health.

How to take

Adult dose

As cilostazol, an adult usually takes 200 mg once a day orally. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This medication acts to improve blood circulation and inhibit platelet aggregation. When taking this medication, there may be an increase in heart rate, leading to symptoms of angina such as chest pain; therefore, careful observation of angina symptoms is necessary. Patients with a risk of bleeding or those with a recent hemorrhagic stroke or those who have undergone surgery should not use this medication. Patients with congestive heart failure or those who have had allergic reactions to this medication, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should also avoid using it.
