Precautions

This medication can increase heart rate and may lead to symptoms of angina, such as chest pain, so careful observation for angina symptoms is required. It should not be administered to patients at high risk of bleeding or those with bleeding disorders, nor to patients with heart failure, those allergic to this drug, pregnant or nursing women. Patients taking other blood-related medications such as anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, women who are menstruating, those with heart function problems, or severely impaired kidney and liver functions, and diabetic patients should use this medication cautiously. Symptoms such as headache, diarrhea, palpitations, and joint swelling may occur while taking this medication, and in severe cases, bleeding, heart issues, or liver function abnormalities may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be immediately discussed with a physician. During treatment, carefully monitor for initial symptoms of bleeding or blood disorders, such as fever, sore throat, and bruising, and caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, since dizziness may occur. Taking this medication with food may increase drug concentration and the risk of side effects, so it is advisable to take it on an empty stomach, especially after high-fat meals. This medication is metabolized in the liver, so caution is necessary regarding drug concentration changes when used with other medications that affect liver function, as well as when combined with specific medications or grapefruit juice. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication, and nursing should be discontinued if breastfeeding. Safety for children and newborns has not been established, so its use is not recommended, and elderly patients may require dosage adjustments due to decreased physical function.
