Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be used by certain patients, such as those who are allergic to it or its components, have very poor kidney function, or have severe liver dysfunction. Patients with specific health conditions such as hypotension, kidney disease, liver disease, gout, or electrolyte imbalances should use this medication cautiously and have regular check-ups as directed by a physician. During the use of this medication, there is a risk of low blood pressure, so if symptoms like dizziness or drowsiness occur, caution is needed, especially when driving or operating machinery. When taken with medications that may affect potassium levels, there is a risk of hyperkalemia; therefore, potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium should not be taken without consulting a physician. This medication can make the skin sensitive to sunlight, so exposure to sunlight should be limited, and if any skin abnormalities occur, a physician should be consulted immediately. Regular tests of blood, liver, kidney function, and electrolyte levels are necessary to detect and manage any abnormal signs early. There is a lack of experience with use in children or adolescents, so it should not be administered to them. Caution is also needed in the elderly due to a higher frequency of adverse reactions. Possible side effects during use include dizziness, cough, rash, myalgia, gastrointestinal disturbances, etc.; if symptoms are severe or persistent, consult a physician. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult a physician before deciding to take this medication, and those who are breastfeeding should also consult a specialist since this medication may be passed into breast milk. In case of overdose, there may be symptoms of hypotension or arrhythmias, so immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. This medication must be kept out of reach of children and stored in its original container; transferring it to another container may pose a risk of decreased quality or misuse.
