Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have an allergic reaction to it. It contains caramel ingredients, so caution should be exercised in patients who have an allergy or have had hypersensitivity reactions to this ingredient. Moreover, it contains potassium pyrosulfite, which can lead to severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, and there is a higher risk of inducing asthma attacks in patients with asthma. Gastrointestinal side effects may occasionally include nausea or dry mouth, so if these symptoms occur, it is advisable to reduce or temporarily stop the medication. Severe rashes such as allergic reactions or acute generalized pustular eruption may occur on the skin, so if abnormal symptoms arise, it is essential to consult a doctor immediately. Occasionally, mood deterioration or diplopia (seeing objects as double) may occur, and medication adjustment or discontinuation may be necessary in such cases. This medication has muscle relaxant effects, and taking it together with pain relievers like morphine or its derivatives may increase side effects, so it is advisable not to use them together. It is safe for women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who might become pregnant not to use this medication; while animal studies showed no harmful effects on the fetus, caution is still required.
