This medicine is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan helps to treat essential hypertension and reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular disease in elderly patients at high cardiovascular risk. Rosuvastatin improves hypercholesterolemia and familial hypercholesterolemia that are difficult to control with diet and exercise, delays the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is also effective in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular reconstruction. The combined use of these two medications is employed to comprehensively manage cardiovascular health.
