Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood sugar control for Type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood sugar control for patients with Type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in patients with Type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone to patients starting treatment, and if blood sugar control is inadequate with monotherapy, it can be combined with other drugs such as metformin. Additionally, this medication is added when treatments relying on sulfonylureas, insulin, or empagliflozin are insufficient to enhance blood sugar control. This flexibility allows for effective management of blood sugar in various treatment scenarios. As a result, this medication is used to enhance blood sugar control.
