Precautions

This medication should not be administered to certain patients. First, it should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components. Additionally, patients with symptoms of orthostatic hypotension should avoid this medication, as their symptoms may worsen. Patients with severely impaired liver function should also not use this medication, as its blood concentration may increase. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. This drug contains lactose, so it should not be used by patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders. Patients with severe renal impairment, elderly patients, and those taking certain medications should use this medication with caution. Particularly, caution is needed if taking antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, or alpha1 blockers due to the increased risk of side effects from interactions. Patients with a history of urination syncope should also use this medication cautiously. During the use of this medication, symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and low blood pressure may occur; therefore, caution should be taken when engaging in hazardous activities such as working at heights or driving. Additionally, rare allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, or urticaria may occur; if such symptoms arise, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical consultation should be sought. This medication can lower blood pressure, so care should be taken not to overdose, especially regarding changes in blood pressure upon standing. If symptoms do not improve with this medication alone, other treatment options should be considered. This medication should not be chewed or opened as a capsule; it must be taken as directed. It should be kept out of reach of children and not be stored in another container for safety. It is safer for pregnant women and children under 18 years old not to take this medication. For elderly patients, a lower dose should be considered based on renal function, and their condition should be monitored closely. Finally, this medication can rarely cause severe side effects such as priapism; if such symptoms occur, immediate notification to healthcare professionals is necessary. Moreover, patients undergoing cataract or glaucoma surgery need to inform their doctor for special precautions.
