Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
Used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by combination therapy of Amlodipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil.
This medication is taken once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). The recommended dosing is as follows: - 5/20/12.5 mg : Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the combination therapy of Amlodipine/Olmesartan Medoxomil 5/20 mg. - 5/40/12.5 mg : Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with the combination therapy of Amlodipine/Olmesartan Medoxomil 5/40 mg.
The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children under 18 years of age; therefore, administration is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to this medication or related drugs should not take it. This drug should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe hypotension, or those with severe heart, kidney, or liver diseases. Patients with low blood volume or sodium deficiency may experience hypotension symptoms at the beginning of treatment; caution is advised, and appropriate action should be taken if symptoms occur. Patients with impaired renal function or kidney transplant recipients may experience changes in kidney function while taking this medication, requiring regular blood tests and monitoring. Particularly, patients with vascular issues in the kidney or severe liver dysfunction should be cautious when using this medication. This medication lowers blood pressure, so caution should be taken as dizziness or lightheadedness may occur when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Containing thiazide diuretics, it may cause electrolyte imbalances, so regular blood tests should be performed to monitor electrolyte levels. There may be interactions with other medications while taking this drug; therefore, you must inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, arrhythmias, and electrolyte imbalances may occur, so make sure not to exceed the prescribed dosage. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children, therefore, use is not recommended. In elderly patients, where renal function may decline, treatment should start at a lower dose and be administered cautiously. Store in a place out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. This medication may cause sensitivity to sunlight; therefore, minimize UV exposure and take care of skin protection during treatment. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should consult a doctor before deciding to take this medication, and breastfeeding women are advised to avoid it.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in the mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough with fever accompanied respiratory abnormalities, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, urinary retention

This medication is sensitive to air and moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
