Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood sugar control for adults with type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood sugar control
View approved original text

This medication effectively helps control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is used as an adjunct to dietary and exercise therapy for blood sugar control and can also be utilized when blood sugar control is difficult with initial monotherapy. Furthermore, it aids in better blood sugar management as a replacement for a combination therapy of linagliptin and metformin or when used in conjunction with insulin. If there is inadequate effectiveness with a combination therapy of metformin and empagliflozin, it can also be administered together to improve blood sugar control. Overall, this medication is used to enhance blood sugar management for diabetes patients at various stages of treatment.
