This medication is used to improve the atherosclerotic symptoms in adult patients with ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, and peripheral artery disease. It also helps to reduce complications due to cardiovascular abnormalities in patients with acute coronary syndrome, particularly in those with unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction, following pharmacological therapy or procedures. Additionally, it can lower the risk of thromboembolism, such as stroke, in patients with atrial fibrillation who are not suitable for vitamin K antagonist use. By reducing both atherosclerosis and thrombotic risks in various cardiovascular issues, it effectively improves the patients' symptoms.
