It should be used with caution in patients who are depleted of fluids or salt, have severe hypotension, or have heart or lung problems, as this medication can significantly lower blood pressure which requires close monitoring. While taking this medication, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, indigestion, and rash may occur, so patients should consult a doctor if symptoms are severe. Especially when this medication is taken in conjunction with other drugs for hypertension treatment, the potential for interactions exists, so appropriate management should be discussed with a specialist. During pregnancy, this medication should be replaced with another safer treatment wherever possible due to the risks it poses to the fetus, and if this medication is taken during pregnancy, the fetus's condition should be monitored regularly. In breastfeeding, this medication can be transferred through breast milk and may cause side effects in the infant, so it is recommended to either stop breastfeeding or discontinue this medication. Patients under 18 years of age should not use this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. Elderly patients may have impaired kidney or liver function, so they should start with a lower dose and take it with caution. If this medication is overdosed, severe hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias may occur, necessitating immediate emergency treatment.
