This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan primarily reduces the risk of death from myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular disease in patients with essential hypertension and those at high risk, particularly for patients over the age of 55. Rosuvastatin is effective for hypercholesterolemia, especially in cases where dietary therapy and exercise are insufficient, delaying atherosclerosis progression and reducing the associated cardiovascular risk. Additionally, this drug also helps lower the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures. Therefore, this medication is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications in patients with both hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
