This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan primarily treats essential hypertension and helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular disease in elderly patients at high risk. Rosuvastatin is used in patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia to lower blood cholesterol levels in conjunction with a dietary regimen and to slow the progression of atherosclerosis. The combination of these two medications contributes to overall cardiovascular health improvement.
