This medication is used for patients who need to take Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan treats hypertension and is effective in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases in patients at high risk for these conditions. Rosuvastatin Calcium is used as a dietary supplement for hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, helps to delay the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. By using these two medications together, blood pressure and blood lipids are controlled to improve cardiovascular health.

How to take

Adult dose

Telmisartan: Adults with essential hypertension should take 40 mg orally once daily, and can be effective at 20 mg depending on the patient. It can be increased up to 80 mg once daily if necessary. For reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases, it is recommended to take 80 mg orally once daily. Patients with liver impairment should not exceed 40 mg once daily. Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn during pregnancy, hence if pregnancy is confirmed, treatment should be immediately discontinued. Women of childbearing potential should use appropriate contraception, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should not take this medication. Patients with severe liver or kidney impairment, certain liver diseases, and muscle disorders should not take this medication. Elderly patients or patients with high potassium levels, and patients with slightly decreased liver function should take this medication with caution and have regular check-ups as directed by their doctor. If symptoms such as myalgia, muscle weakness, or muscle cramps occur during treatment, consult a doctor immediately, and tests may be conducted to check for muscle damage if necessary. If liver dysfunction is suspected, inform your doctor immediately and undergo tests, and treatment should be discontinued if liver values significantly increase. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive medications or specific drugs, so you should inform your doctor of all medications you are taking. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and acute renal failure may occur, and immediate medical attention is required for appropriate treatment. There may be drowsiness or dizziness during driving or operating machinery while on this medication, so caution is advised. Keep out of reach of children and avoid transferring the medication to other containers.
