This medication is used for patients who need to take both Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan is effective in treating essential hypertension and reducing the risks of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality from cardiovascular disease in elderly patients at high risk. Rosuvastatin improves hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, particularly in patients who find it difficult to control these conditions through diet and exercise alone. It is also used for cholesterol control in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia and dysbetalipoproteinemia. Furthermore, it is important in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and arterial revascularization in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medication is used to simultaneously manage blood pressure and cholesterol to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
