This medication is used to effectively reduce fever caused by acute upper respiratory infections.

How to take

Child dose

For children aged 6 months and older, 0.4-0.6mL/kg (5-7mg/kg of dexibuprofen) may be administered every 4 to 6 hours as needed, not exceeding 4 doses in a day (28mg/kg).

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than 3 alcoholic beverages daily; it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and serious symptoms such as myocardial infarction or stroke may occur, so those with cardiovascular disease or risk factors should use it with caution. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, and special caution should be exercised for the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Individuals with specific conditions such as peptic ulcer, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, heart failure, hypertension, and asthma should not use this medication. Those with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, hypertension, or hypersensitivity should use this medication with caution and consult a doctor if necessary. This medication may rarely cause severe allergic reactions, blood disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, neurological issues, etc., so if any abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are advised for long-term use. Taking this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, alcohol, or specific medications may increase the risk of side effects; always consult a doctor or pharmacist.
