This medication helps improve various symptoms associated with prostatic enlargement due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. It particularly facilitates smooth urinary flow by relieving obstruction caused by prostate enlargement and decreases the frequency of acute urinary retention. By improving overall prostate health, it enhances the quality of life for the patient.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in children or women. During treatment, depression or mood changes may occur; if these symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional. Patients who are allergic to this medication or have lactose intolerance, soybean oil or soy, or peanut allergies should not use it. Generally, this medication has mild and temporary side effects, but symptoms such as sexual dysfunction, breast-related symptoms, rash, headaches, and dizziness may occur; if abnormal symptoms persist, consult a physician. Long-term use has reported cases of breast cancer in some patients, but a clear causal relationship with this medication has not yet been established. This medication may slightly increase the risk of prostate cancer, so regular check-ups are important, especially for men over 55 years of age. Pregnant women should not take or handle this medication, and it is also advised that breastfeeding women do not use it. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children have not been confirmed, so it is not used in this population. Elderly patients may use this medication without special dosage adjustment; however, caution may be needed based on other health conditions. This medication generally has minimal interactions with other drugs, but if you are taking any other medications, inform your healthcare provider. During treatment, changes in sexual function such as reduced semen volume, erectile dysfunction, and decreased libido may occur, but these are mostly temporary. The effects of this medication do not appear immediately, so if symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor. There is no special treatment for overdose, but be careful not to exceed the recommended dosage. Keep this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container as this helps maintain quality.
