Improves blood pressure control for essential hypertension through the combination of Amlodipine and Valsartan
This medication helps to lower blood pressure more effectively for patients with essential hypertension who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with Amlodipine or Valsartan monotherapy.
The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). For patients with mild to moderate renal impairment, dose adjustment is not necessary. For liver impairment patients, the daily dose of Valsartan should not exceed 80 mg. Caution should be taken when increasing the dosage for elderly patients over 65 years of age.
Safety and efficacy for pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, so administration of this medication is not recommended.
This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during the second or third trimester of pregnancy, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take it. People who are allergic to the main ingredients of this medication or similar drugs, those with severe kidney or liver diseases, and those with a history of certain heart diseases or angioedema should not take it. For patients with insufficient sodium or fluid in the body, hypotension may occur, so it's important to check the condition before taking it and to take it under the supervision of a doctor. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking potassium supplements need to have their potassium levels checked frequently. Patients with kidney vascular issues, those who have recently had a kidney transplant, those with angioedema symptoms, and heart failure or post-myocardial infarction patients require special attention. This drug may cause various side effects such as headaches, dizziness, swelling, hypotension, gastrointestinal discomfort, skin rashes, etc., so if unusual symptoms occur, one should consult a doctor immediately. There may be dizziness or fatigue when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. There may be interactions when combined with other antihypertensive medications or certain drugs, so it is essential to inform about other medications being taken. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to take this medication, and if planning a pregnancy, consultation with a doctor is recommended. Children under 18 years of age are not recommended as safety and efficacy have not been established.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough with fever and respiratory abnormalities, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), severe fatigue, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual abnormalities, paralysis, urination.

This medication is prone to being affected by air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly closed container. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature.
