Precautions

This medication should be used with caution by women in the first three months of pregnancy or those likely to become pregnant, as taking more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A per day may pose a risk of congenital malformations. Children, especially those under the age of 6, may face serious risks from overdose, so it should be kept out of reach of children. Patients with high calcium levels in their blood, renal disease, or sarcoidosis should not take this medication, nor should those allergic to any of its ingredients. Infants under 12 months, as well as patients with specific conditions such as Wilson's disease or hemochromatosis, should also avoid this medication. Caution is advised when taking this medication along with phosphorus, calcium salts, certain antibiotics, antacids, and levodopa as interactions may occur. Patients under medical treatment or those with specific kidney, liver, heart, or gastrointestinal diseases, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women, should consult with a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rashes, irregular heartbeat, or abdominal pain appear during use, discontinue immediately and consult medical personnel. Long-term high-dose use may cause side effects such as nerve damage, peptic ulcers, hypercalcemia, and liver damage, so the prescribed dosage and regimen must be strictly followed. Since this medication contains vitamin A, it is generally safe not to exceed 5,000 IU per day if sufficiently supplied through a normal diet. It is advisable to avoid beverages containing tannins such as green tea or black tea during use, and it is important to inform medical personnel of its use as it can affect blood sugar or urine test results.
