Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to this medication's active ingredients or similar drugs, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe liver impairment or aortic stenosis, patients with biliary obstruction, patients undergoing renal dialysis, patients in a state of shock, and certain diabetic patients should not take this medication. Careful observation is necessary for patients who have low fluid or salt levels, as initial hypotensive symptoms may appear upon administration, and special caution is needed for patients with aortic stenosis, as there is a risk of acute hypotension due to vasodilation. Caution is advised when administering this medication to patients with severe heart disease, weak renal function, or liver impairment, and blood pressure and renal function should be monitored frequently. Patients may experience side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, nausea, skin rash, or edema while taking this medication, and if any unusual symptoms develop, they should consult with healthcare professionals. Patients who have abruptly discontinued beta-blockers should take caution as this medication is not a beta-blocker, and discontinuing it suddenly may pose risks. Drug interactions may occur when taken with other medications, so patients, especially those taking potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, certain analgesics, or lithium, should inform their healthcare professionals. This medication should not be used during pregnancy as a principle, and if planning to become pregnant or if pregnant, must discuss with a healthcare professional. Nursing mothers should consider discontinuing either breastfeeding or this medication if adverse reactions occur in infants while taking this medication. Children under 18 years old are not recommended for use due to inadequate evidence of safety and efficacy. Elderly patients require careful dosage adjustment and observation due to potential renal and liver function decline. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, vasodilation, tachycardia, and other symptoms may occur, and immediate emergency treatment should be sought if symptoms appear. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
