Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
The combination therapy of amlodipine and olmesartan medoxomil is used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled in patients with essential hypertension. These medications each lower blood pressure, and their combined use may enhance efficacy. Essential hypertension refers to high blood pressure that occurs without a specific cause, making blood pressure control crucial. This combination therapy helps manage blood pressure more effectively and reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications. Therefore, this drug combination is used in the treatment of essential hypertension.
