Amlodipine (S-amlodipine) is used to treat hypertension and stable angina, as well as myocardial ischemia due to variant angina caused by vascular constriction. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of hospitalization for angina and the risk associated with coronary artery revascularization in patients with coronary artery disease who have no heart failure and normal cardiac output. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina, and is also effective in treating hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. It particularly contributes to the reduction of cardiovascular risk in adults with multiple risk factors and in patients with type 2 diabetes. These two drugs are used together to improve cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of disease occurrence.
