This medication is used as a combination replacement therapy for patients who need to take Metformin Hydrochloride and Rosuvastatin Calcium simultaneously. In other words, this medication is prescribed only for patients who require both of these drugs, allowing for effective treatment.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily to adults, taken with the evening meal.

Precautions

This medication can rarely cause severe lactic acidosis, which can be life-threatening, so caution is necessary. When used with other diabetes treatments, hypoglycemia may occur, so blood sugar levels should be monitored closely. It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of this medication or with severely impaired liver function. It should also be avoided in cases of muscle disorders or when taken with certain immunosuppressants. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and fertile women who are not using adequate contraception should consult about the possibilities and risks of pregnancy before taking this medication. Patients with severe kidney dysfunction or those with acute cardiovascular conditions such as acute heart failure or acute myocardial infarction should not use this medication.
