Used for gradual lightening of skin areas with excessive melanin pigmentation such as lentigines, melasma, freckles, and senile lentigines.

How to apply

Adult use

Hydroquinone 4% applied to the affected area 1-2 times daily (morning, before bedtime).

Precautions

This medication should be kept out of sunlight. When the application area is exposed to sunlight, there is a risk of skin discoloration, so sunscreen should be used or protective clothing should be worn. It is advisable not to use this medication for an extended period, and the duration of use should be adjusted according to the treatment effect. Patients with allergies to the ingredients of this medication, pregnant women, children under 12, and patients with poor kidney function should not use this. Patients with asthma or sensitivity to sulfites should be especially cautious when using this medication, as allergic reactions may occur. If skin rash, itching, or blistering occurs, stop using immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. It is advisable to apply a small amount to the skin and check for reactions over 24 hours before full use. If severe inflammation or itching occurs, discontinue use. If symptoms do not improve after 2 months of use, discontinue and consult a specialist. This medication is intended for skin lightening purposes only and should not be used for sun protection or sunburn prevention. It is safest for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant to avoid use. Breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously, as it is unknown whether this drug is excreted in breast milk. Children under 12 should not use this medication. Excessive use may cause skin redness or warmth, so application should be limited and should not exceed 10% of the total body surface area. This medication should only be applied to the skin and should not come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer to other containers. Using it in high concentrations for a long time may cause skin abnormalities, so caution is necessary.
