Adult dose

The recommended dose of this drug is 1 capsule (0.5mg) once daily. The capsule should be swallowed whole without chewing or splitting, since exposure to its contents may cause irritation of the oropharyngeal mucosa. This drug may be taken with or without food. No dose adjustment is necessary for patients with renal impairment or elderly patients. Since there are no data on administration of this drug to patients with hepatic impairment, the recommended dose for these patients has not been established.

This medication must not be handled or taken by women, especially those who are pregnant or may become pregnant. This medication can be absorbed through the skin, so it is necessary to ensure that women or children do not come into contact with the drug from any leaking capsules, and if contact occurs, it should be washed immediately with soap and water. This medication is prohibited for use in children under 18 years old and in women. Additionally, individuals with allergies to this medication or similar components should not take it. Men planning to conceive should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as it may affect fertility. Patients with urinary obstruction or severe urinary flow reduction should consult a specialist before using this medication, and caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function. As this medication is metabolized in the liver, there is a risk of increased blood levels when taken with drugs that inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. During treatment, sexual side effects such as erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, and ejaculation disorders may occur, and breast tenderness or gynecomastia may also develop in some patients. These side effects can persist even after discontinuation of the medication. Long-term use may increase the risk of high-grade prostate cancer, so regular prostate cancer screening should be conducted. While taking this medication, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels may decrease, and it is important to consider changes between PSA levels before and 3-6 months after taking the medication when interpreting results. Patients taking this medication should not donate blood for at least 6 months after the last dose. There is no specific antidote in the case of overdose, so if symptoms occur, immediate medical attention should be sought for appropriate treatment. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and store in the original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality. While the potential impact on driving or operating machinery is low, caution is advised in case of adverse reactions.
