Adult dose

Administer 40 mg orally once daily with water, regardless of meal. In some patients, 20 mg once daily may also be effective. If necessary, the dose may be increased to 80 mg once daily, with the maximum antihypertensive effect appearing 4-8 weeks after dose escalation. For reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, 80 mg once daily with water is recommended.

This medication can cause serious harm, especially to the fetus and newborn, during pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should not take this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function or cholestasis should also avoid this drug. It is advisable for patients with a history of allergic reactions or angioedema to refrain from using this medication. For diabetic patients with moderate or severe kidney impairment, this medication should not be taken with certain other medications. Caution is required when administering to elderly patients, patients with hyperkalemia, or those with slightly impaired liver function, and careful administration is necessary for patients with heart or kidney diseases. Regular blood pressure and blood tests should be performed during treatment as there may be a risk of excessively low blood pressure or worsening kidney function. Extra caution is necessary when taking this medication with potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics due to the risk of elevated potassium levels. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive medications, so consulting with a doctor or pharmacist is advised. Dizziness or fainting may occur when driving or operating machinery, so caution is required. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children, and use is not recommended. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and worsening kidney function may occur, hence immediate medical attention is warranted. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored sealed until just prior to use.

Urticaria, angioedema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, sepsis, anaphylactic reaction, angioedema (including fatal outcomes), angioedema, hepatic dysfunction, liver impairment, jaundice, paralysis, kidney impairment including acute renal failure, shock, syncope, loss of consciousness, anaphylaxis-like symptoms, laryngeal edema, interstitial lung disease, interstitial pneumonia, rhabdomyolysis, syncope due to blood pressure drop, loss of consciousness due to blood pressure drop
