Improvement of moderate to severe scalp psoriasis symptoms
This medication is used for the treatment of moderate to severe scalp psoriasis.
Apply this medication once daily to the affected area, and after 15 minutes, wet it with water, massage to create foam, and rinse it off. Treatment should not exceed 4 consecutive weeks; once the desired therapeutic effect is achieved, stop using it. The total dosage should not exceed 50g (50mL or 1.75oz) in a week. It should not be used in occlusive therapy unless instructed by a physician.
This medication should not be used in patients with certain skin infections. For example, those with bacterial infections like tuberculosis or syphilis, fungal infections like candidiasis or tinea, viral infections like shingles or herpes, and animal skin infections like scabies or lice may experience exacerbation of symptoms and should not be administered. Moreover, patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components, patients with eczematous otitis media with tympanic membrane perforation, patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, scalp infections or perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, itching around the anus or genitals, and infants under 24 months should not use this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, elderly individuals, patients with liver dysfunction or diabetes should use this medication with caution, especially if they are allergic to the propylene glycol component contained in this medication. Infections may develop on the skin, and if symptoms of infection appear, appropriate antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be initiated immediately or the use of this medication should be discontinued. Prolonged use of this medication may lead to side effects such as skin thinning or telangiectasia, so it is advisable to gradually reduce the amount used or switch to another medication if symptoms appear. Additionally, prolonged use of this medication over large areas or in conjunction with occlusive dressings may cause serious side effects such as systemic hormonal imbalance or increased intraocular pressure leading to glaucoma and cataracts; therefore, short-term use is recommended. This medication should not be used in cases of eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections unless absolutely necessary, in which case appropriate antibiotic treatment is required first. Discontinue use immediately if symptoms do not improve or worsen. During pregnancy, it is advisable not to use this medication excessively or for prolonged periods, and in nursing mothers, it should only be used for short periods on minimal areas. Specifically, nursing mothers should not apply it directly to the nipples or around the breasts. For children, the risk of side effects is higher due to better absorption in the body, so prolonged use should be avoided, and the condition should be checked weekly when used. It is not recommended for children aged 24 months to under 18 years. Elderly individuals may experience side effects more easily, so careful observation is necessary during use. If this medication is used excessively or misused, symptoms of hormone excess or adrenal insufficiency may occur, and dosage should be gradually reduced or discontinued according to the physician's instructions. Take care to avoid contact with the eyes, do not use for non-therapeutic purposes, and occlusive dressings should only be carried out under medical supervision. It is important to wash hands thoroughly after use. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children and do not store it in a different container after removing it from the original bottle.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent exposure to air and moisture, and it is best kept at a cool temperature below 25 degrees Celsius. Storing it this way will help maintain the effectiveness of the medication for a long time.
