It also helps relieve digestive symptoms such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, gastric pain, and belching. It protects the gastric mucosa and improves symptoms, reducing the discomfort for patients. Therefore, it is used for various gastric-related symptoms and diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As Almagate, take 1 g orally, three times a day, 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. If necessary, an additional dose may be taken before bedtime.

Child dose

Children aged 12 years and older should take the same dosage as adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this drug or its ingredients. Patients with Alzheimer's disease or hemorrhoids should also avoid using this medication. Individuals experiencing significant swelling due to fluid retention or those with pregnancy-induced hypertension should steer clear of this medication. Patients with diarrhea or unexplained gastrointestinal bleeding should refrain from taking this drug. Additionally, this drug contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion should avoid using it. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to take tetracycline antibiotics concurrently, as this could interfere with the absorption of the drug. Specifically, the timing of taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer medications, digitalis preparations, certain antibiotics, and iron supplements should be adjusted with a 2-3 hour interval. Patients with impaired kidney function may accumulate magnesium or aluminum present in this drug, hence its use is not recommended.
