Precautions

This medication is a topical steroid used to relieve inflammation and itching. However, it should not be used if there is an infection of the skin, as it may worsen the symptoms. Individuals with a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should avoid using it. Caution is advised for patients with external ear infections with perforation of the eardrum, as this may delay wound healing. It is best to avoid using this medication on areas with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as it can interfere with skin regeneration. Its use is not recommended for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. It should not be applied to areas experiencing itching around the anus or genitals. It is unsafe to use this medication in children under 2 years of age. Women who are pregnant or possibly pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, should use this medication cautiously and apply it only in the minimal effective doses when necessary. Caution is also needed when using this drug in children and the elderly, as the risk of side effects increases with long-term use. This medication can cause skin infections, and if an infection is suspected, usage should be stopped immediately and treatment sought. As side effects may include skin irritation, rash, itching, skin dryness, etc., if any abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use and consult a physician. Long-term use may lead to side effects such as thinning of the skin or vasodilation, thus it is advisable to discontinue use as soon as symptoms improve. If this medication is used in large quantities over a wide area or sealed dressing is employed, systemic side effects may suppress pituitary and adrenal function, necessitating regular check-ups. When used around the eyes, it may cause increased intraocular pressure or eye diseases such as glaucoma, so caution is warranted. If blurred vision or visual disturbances occur, it is essential to consult an ophthalmologist immediately. This medication is not developed for ophthalmic use and should not be applied directly to the eyes. Do not apply it to areas for treatment purposes that are not intended, such as after makeup or shaving. Sealed dressing methods should only be used as directed by a physician, and the affected area should be kept clean to reduce the risk of infection. Store in a secure place out of reach of children, and pregnant or nursing women should avoid long-term or extensive use and consult a physician if necessary. Children have a higher risk of side effects due to their larger surface area relative to body weight, so it is advisable not to use this medication for more than 3 weeks. The elderly may be more sensitive to side effects and should be monitored closely during use.
