Used for the treatment of patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure control is insufficient with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with the combination of telmisartan and amlodipine, this medication 40/5/12.5 mg may be administered, adjusting the dosage at intervals of more than 2 weeks based on the patient's blood pressure response. The maximum dosage of this medication is 80/5/25.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this drug. Patients with impaired liver function or progressive liver disease should be cautious, as serious issues such as hepatic coma may arise upon taking this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function should use this drug carefully, as it may worsen kidney function. Patients who have had allergic reactions to any of the ingredients or similar medications should avoid this drug. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this medication, and breastfeeding should be discontinued if the mother is taking it. This medication is contraindicated in patients with severe liver dysfunction, biliary obstructive disease, severe aortic stenosis, or in shock. Dizziness or low blood pressure may occur while taking this medication, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Electrolyte imbalance in the blood, especially hypokalemia or hypercalcemia, may occur, so regular blood testing is necessary. This drug may interact with other antihypertensive medications, particularly caution is advised when taken with lithium, digoxin, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Elderly patients or those with impaired kidney function should start with a low dose and gradually increase the dosage, and blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored regularly during treatment. In case of overdose, symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, and acute renal failure may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Store this medication in a cool and dry place, protected from direct light, and out of the reach of children.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, shortness of breath, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attack, respiratory problems accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urinary changes

Mild side effects

Dizziness, orthostatic dizziness, headache, reduced sensation, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, nausea, hemorrhagic gastritis, constipation, retinal hemorrhage, visual disturbances, fatigue, hypokalemia, hyponatremia, dyslipidemia, gingivitis, submucosal tumors in the gastrointestinal tract, insomnia, rash, hypotension, foreign body sensation, musculoskeletal stiffness, abdominal pain, drowsiness, loss of appetite, mild gastrointestinal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, vascular edema, itching, erythema, facial swelling, lower limb edema,
