This medication is used to relieve painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders. It is particularly effective for symptoms such as cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain. This drug relaxes muscle tension, reducing pain and improving mobility. It helps alleviate discomfort caused by muscle cramps and increases activity in daily life. Therefore, it is used to treat various symptoms that appear along with muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

As this medication is a sustained-release tablet, do not crush, divide, or chew; take it whole. The adult dosage is 1 tablet (75 mg of eperison hydrochloride) taken orally twice a day after meals. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or those with myasthenia gravis should not be administered the drug. Also, it should be administered with caution in patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity or with liver dysfunction. Caution is needed because liver function may deteriorate. Moreover, various side effects such as liver dysfunction, renal dysfunction, anemia, skin rash, itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, urinary retention, urinary incontinence, weakness, dizziness, etc. have been reported, so it is necessary to consult a healthcare professional if symptoms occur. While taking this medication, symptoms such as weakness, staggering, and drowsiness may appear, so it may be necessary to reduce the dosage or discontinue use if these symptoms occur. Additionally, drowsiness or decreased alertness may occur, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Caution should be exercised when taking this drug in conjunction with similar medications like tolperisone hydrochloride or methocarbamol as visual disturbances may occur. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this drug when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as safety has not been established. If breastfeeding, it is advisable to avoid administration. If absolutely necessary, breastfeeding should be stopped. The safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so care should be taken with its use.
