How to take

Adult dose

Tablets, liquid, suspension: 35-140 mg of silymarin (or 15-60 mg of silibinin) for each dose, taken three times a day. Capsules: Initial dose 140 mg (or 60 mg of silibinin) for each dose, taken three times a day. Maintenance dose 70 mg (or 30 mg of silibinin) for each dose, taken three times a day. Alternatively, 140 mg (or 60 mg of silibinin) for each dose, taken twice a day.

Precautions

This medication is contraindicated for patients with severe bile duct obstruction. Additionally, individuals allergic to this medication should not take it.
