This medicine is used in patients with essential hypertension when adequate blood pressure control is difficult or not appropriate with telmisartan monotherapy. How to take

Adult dose

Patients whose blood pressure control is inadequate with telmisartan monotherapy should take this medication once daily with water, regardless of meals. Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combinations 40/12.5 mg, 80/12.5 mg, 80/25 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled. Mild to moderate renal impairment does not require dose adjustment, but severe impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min) should not be treated with this medication.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy.
