This medication treats ulcers that occur in the stomach and duodenum and is effective for the treatment of anastomotic ulcers after surgery. It also treats peptic ulcers, acute stress ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by hemorrhagic gastritis. It helps alleviate symptoms in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and is used for excessive gastric acid secretion conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It is effective in improving gastric mucosal lesions such as erosion, bleeding, redness, and edema that appear during acute exacerbations of acute gastritis and chronic gastritis. Thus, it is used for the treatment of various gastric diseases and the improvement of gastric mucosal conditions.
