Relief of painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders (cervicobrachial syndrome, shoulder periarthritis)
This medication is used to relieve pain and muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as cervicobrachial syndrome, shoulder periarthritis, and low back pain.
As this medication is a sustained-release tablet, it should be taken whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing. Adults should take 1 tablet (75 mg of eperison hydrochloride) orally after meals twice a day. Dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or who suffer from severe myasthenia gravis. Individuals with a history of drug allergies or liver dysfunction should be particularly cautious when using this medication, as liver function may worsen. During the use of this medication, rare occurrences of severe allergic reactions or serious skin rashes, blisters, itching, eye redness, or oral inflammation may arise. If such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Additionally, various side effects such as liver or kidney dysfunction, anemia, rash, drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, abdominal pain, low back pain, dizziness, and weakness can occur; if symptoms are severe or persistent, consulting a healthcare professional is advised. While taking this medication, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur; it is advisable to refrain from driving or operating dangerous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when its safety is adequately confirmed, and during breastfeeding, it is preferable to avoid use or to discontinue breastfeeding if necessary. There is limited safety data for children, so caution is warranted, and for the elderly, dosage adjustments may be necessary due to decreased bodily function. Finally, when taking this medication along with drugs with similar components or certain muscle relaxants, adverse reactions may occur; thus, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential.
