Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions to it or in patients with myasthenia gravis. It should be used cautiously in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to drugs or impaired liver function, as liver function may worsen and caution is required. During the use of this medication, rare occurrences of shock or allergic reactions may occur, so if symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing appear, immediately discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Serious skin conditions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome may also occur, so it is important to carefully monitor for unusual symptoms such as fever, rash, blisters, or stomatitis. Periodic testing is necessary as liver or kidney function may be affected; if abnormal signs appear, discontinuation of the medication and appropriate treatment should be sought. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, weakness, etc. may occur during use; if such symptoms persist, consult a physician. Particularly, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur when taking this medication; therefore, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety is not established. Breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medication; if unavoidable, consult a physician. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently established in children, so caution is needed for their use. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily functions, so caution in dosage adjustment is necessary.
