This medication is used to relieve pain and muscle stiffness associated with musculoskeletal diseases. It is particularly effective for conditions such as cervical spondylosis, shoulder periarthritis, and low back pain, helping to alleviate discomfort caused by these symptoms.
This medication is a sustained-release tablet and should be taken whole without crushing, dividing, or chewing. The recommended dose is 1 tablet (75mg of eperisone hydrochloride) taken orally after meals twice a day. The dosage may be adjusted according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used by patients who have had allergic reactions to it or by patients with myasthenia gravis. Patients with a history of drug allergies or impaired liver function should use this medication with caution, as it may further impair liver function. This medication may rarely cause serious allergic reactions or serious skin reactions, so if symptoms such as redness, itching, hives, breathing difficulties, fever, blisters, or eye redness occur, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Drowsiness or weakness may occur during the use of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid hazardous activities such as driving or operating machinery. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use it only after consulting with a doctor, and nursing mothers should avoid using it if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety has not been sufficiently confirmed for children, so it should be used cautiously in pediatric patients. Elderly patients may have decreased bodily function, so adjust the dosage or use with caution when using this medication. Lastly, side effects may occur when used with similar medications or specific muscle relaxants, so be sure to inform and consult with a doctor or pharmacist.
